FABRICATE: to invent, concoct, construct, or manufacture from prepared components.

The Fabricated Landscapes Lab is a creative practice run by landscape designer, artist, and educator Tameka Baba, FAAR. The Lab explores the parallels between landscape architecture and textile arts, experimenting with traditional craft techniques as tools to represent, construct, and reimagine derelict, overlooked, or underused urban spaces. Through craft, the Lab operates projects under four key acts: manipulate(material exploration), speculate (site narratives), collaborate(paticipatory design), and generate (product fabrication).
